Javier Giribet-Vargas, BCMN 2017, landed a summer internship at National Public Radio’s Weekend All Things Considered in Washington D.C. He will work directly with WATC Executive Producer Kenya Young and NPR Host Michel Martin as a production assistant.

Giribet-Vargas began as a reporter at UTA Radio in 2015. Since then, he has worked at Telemundo and as an intern at KERA 90.1 in Dallas. He credits these experiences with nabbing the highly-coveted internship at NPR.

He said he has been working toward securing this internship since May 2016 and is very excited to be joining the NPR team.

NPR is a non-profit media organization that provides syndicated content to a network of 900 public radio stations in the United States.
