Documentation Guidelines

The key to obtaining appropriate accommodations at The University of Texas at Arlington is providing the appropriate documentation. Every student who receives accommodations at UTA must have a documented condition, which constitutes a disability under the guidelines of the ADA. (See the documentation guidelines below on specific disabilities to determine what documentation is required.)

Note: While specific content and age of documentation may be specified, students should submit their most recent and thorough documentation for review. If updated documentation is needed, a counselor will meet with the student and provide guidance through that process.
