The Movin’ Mavs Wheelchair Tennis Program was resurrected in 2008 with six players attending the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Championships in Mobile, AL along with other tournaments. Jeff Sale, former USA National Junior Team member and UT Arlington graduate (currently working on MBA at UTA) serves as the player/coach for the team.

In the past three seasons the Movin’ Mavs have had players win the Tier 2 National Titles at the ITA event, Doubles National Champions as well as A Division and B Division singles titles (and A Division Doubles title) at the Cajun Classic International Tournament in 2011 in Baton Rouge.

Partial scholarships and out of state tuition waivers are available for students interested in attending UT Arlington to play Wheelchair Tennis.
