MavExpress Card and Refunds
How do I add money to my MavMoney account? Can I see how much balance I have left? What if someone steals my card? What is a valid print refund and what should I do request a print refund? How do I request a Departmental print card? How much does the printing cost? I am an Alumni, Guest or Gift or Scholarship donor. How can I print? I am graduating or leaving UT Arlington. Can the money on my card be refunded to me? I just want to print my class schedule. Are there other options available for that? How does a department lab process a printing refund?
Students, faculty and staff can add money to their MavExpress card and check balances online at http://www.uta.edu/mavexpress. Bursars Office is a location on campus that you can add money to MavMoney.
Any print job that is illegible or unusable (faded, large streaks, crumpled paper) resulting from a problem with a printer will be eligible for a refund.
A print job that does not print as expected because of a user or web site settings ( Page Orientation, font size, Incorrectly document ) will NOT be entitled to a refund.
You will need to Request a Refund at the time printing failed. In OIT labs and several other labs it is common practice; if the illegible print job occurred during the hours with a Lab Assistant on duty the lab assistant can reprint your job for you right then without any charge to you or your MavExpress ID card. For this you will need to show the lab assistant on duty in the lab where the unusable print occurred all pages that printed including the cover sheet, which is the 1st page printed IDing the owner of the print job and print ID. If there is not an assistant on duty when a print refund is needed you are required to turn in the items listed below to the designated place located in the lab where the document was printed. Each lab will have an area where refund forms are turned in for processing and should be refunded to your account within 1 business day. Example: Refund turned in on Friday will be processed Monday.
You must turn in/place in the designated area in the lab where the unusable print occurred all materials including: Cover Sheet which has the PAY-AS-YOU-GO Refund Form included on it filled out with your information, and all pages printed from that job. Note:the 16 digit ID Card # is not your 1000 #. It is the number under your name on your MavExpress ID card.
Submitted refunds should be verified and credited back to the account within 24 hours. ( during the work week )
If all refund procedures are not followed, then the refund will be denied.
Email MavExpress with the following information for the person responsible for card
- Department name
- Full name
- Campus phone number
- Campus email address
To add departmental funds to the card, a departmental representative authorized to release funds should contact the OIT Help Desk with the following information:
- Card number
- Account number for transfer funds
- Amount of transfer

You must provide a official photo ID to obtain a library guest pass in order to be able to use Library computers. You will need a guest print card in order to be able to print. Guest Print cards cost $1.00 at the Central Library kiosk for the card only and have a $0.00 balance. Clients can add as much money as they desire in increments of $1.00, $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00. The kiosk only accepts paper currency and gives no change.
