E-mails sent from @uta.edu addressees to email@example.com addressees and contain sensitive information such as SSN and Credit Card Number (CCN) will be encrypted.Short training video is available at UT Arlington's Help Desk You Tube Page
How to Use:
It just takes one simple step to send a secure, encrypted e-mail.
- The sender designates that the email should be encrypted by adding the encrypt (not case sensitive) anywhere in the subject line of the e-mail.
- The subject line of the email is not encrypted; therefore, you should not include sensitive information in subject line of the e-mail.
After you have put encrypt in the subject, and when you're done typing the e-mail, click Send as you would normally.
Because the recipient will have to register the first time he/she uses it, you may want to send a note first warning that an encrypted message is coming. A sample of a encrypted e-mail notification is available.
