Spirit Groups

The UT Arlington Spirit Groups include the Cheerleaders, Dance Team, and Blaze the Mascot. The UT Arlington Spirit Groups join together in providing support for UT Arlington athletic teams and leading the Arlington community in spirit. The athletes also compete and represent UTA at the NCA/NDA Collegiate National Championship each year in Daytona Beach, FL.

Mission Statement

The UT Arlington Spirit Groups, as a component of the Division of Student Affairs, fosters student success and lifelong learning by providing opportunities and experiences which contribute to the growth of the students’ maturity, discipline, and pride. Spirit Groups aims to develop the student-athletes leadership skills, interpersonal relationships, and self-confidence through training, performing, and competing.
