Faculty, staff, and students will have no or limited access to UTA resources during an upgrade of the network’s operating system and firewalls midnight–6 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 19. Significant data loss with manual update of Windows 10

Do not manually install updates for Windows 10 because of potential data loss. A compatibility issue with the recent Fall Creators Update and the University's encryption software causes significant data loss. Faculty and staff can continue to use the Office of Information Technology-approved updates located in the SCCM Software Center on their devices. OIT recommends all faculty and staff install Crashplan as a backup solution to recover any future or potential data loss. Please contact the IT Help Desk at 817-272-2208 or if you have questions or concerns. You also may submit a ticket using the self-service portal.
