New President Named

Dr. Jennifer Cowley

In early 2022, the University of Texas System chancellor announced the appointment of Jennifer Cowley as the next president of UT Arlington. Dr. Cowley is the 10th president in the University’s history and the first who is female. In addition, she serves as a member of the UTA faculty as a professor of public affairs and planning. Cowley brings a strong track record of advancing urban-serving research universities, previously serving as provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of North Texas. She joined UTA at the end of April.
