Student Home Use License

Mathematica Student Edition for Home Use License

The University of Texas at Arlington has contracted with Wolfram to provide enrolled students the opportunity to obtain a free home-use license for the Mathematica Student Edition.  All enrolled students are eligible to use the provided Mathematica home-use license on a personally owned system for as long as they are actively enrolled students of U.T.A. The Mathematica Student Edition provides functionality that will assist students in their research in the following manner.

  • Calculate & Analyze
  • Learn & Explore
  • Visualize & Illustrate
  • Document & Publish

How to Get:

Please follow the instructions listed below to obtain and license a home-use copy of Mathematica.

  1. Access the Wolfram User Portal Go to:  If you don’t have a UTA linked account, then Click on the Create Account button.
    Be sure to utilize your UTA e-mail account ending in or when creating your Wolfram account
  2. Verify / validate the newly created account.  You will receive an email from Wolfram with a link to click on to validate your account.
  3. Once the account has been validated go to the UTA-specific activation key request form Go to:  Sign in using the newly created account (WolframID)
  4. Fill out all of the required information.  Once completed, you will be able to download a license directly from the  Wolfram User Portal.
