  • All shaded classes are free to all MAC members.

  • Participants must have activated ID and will only be granted access to class up to 5 minutes after posted class time.

  • Participation is limited to space and equipment availability.

  • Classes with low attendance may be removed from the schedule.

  • All classes must have a minimum of two participants.

  • Classes held on the West Lawn are subject to cancellation due to weather.

Class Descriptions

Barre 101 - Set to fun and energetic music, each class incorporates an upper body workout with weights and a combination of high-intensity sequences of thigh, seat and core exercises.  Improving strength, more elongated muscles, and flexibility are key. Each class is designed to leave you feeling invigorated, challenged, and inspired.

Cycle - Go for a spin! This ride is for everyone. Try this class of high intensity, medium impact cardio training in your target heart rate zone. Towel and water required.

Hip Hop Cardio - Dance your way into fitness! This class is structured to offer an intense cardiovascular workout, in addition to teaching basic Hip Hop movements and technique you’ll be having so much fun, you won’t want to stop. The class is open to all levels and requires no prior dance experience.

Maverick Boot Camp - an INTENSE, exciting one hour workout sure to get your heart racing and your muscles burning! The class format and programming will be varied to challenge you in new ways, test will, and push past limits. Exercise selection includes: bodyweight work, kettlebells, medicine balls, sandbags, Prowler work, cone drills, agility ladders, and the creativity of our instructor!

Meditation Basics - A mindful meditation class with a systematic training of mind to bring about tranquility, increased sense of awareness, clarity, and strengthening of mind. By continuous practice, the senses are controlled by mind, and an inner consciousness is developed which leads to intellectual development.

Pilates - The Pilates Method is a full-body conditioning program that develops deep abdominal and back strength, together with increased flexibility and ease of movement.  This class is aimed at “core stability”, designed to work on lengthening muscles to help tone and strengthen muscles, using breathing to enhance relaxation.

TRX – Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.  Use of the TRX Suspension Trainer leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete a variety of exercises.

Water Fitness - Exercise with a splash!  This aerobics class is designed especially for those wanting to improve their health, mobility and body composition.  This low intensity format uses water to increase flexibility, strength, endurance and cardio fitness without the impact of land aerobics.

Yoga - The Hatha yoga method is a great place to start since it teaches postures, conscious breathing and relaxation techniques for a full-body workout.  Learning the basic points of alignment for each pose is the focus of this class.  

Zumba - Get ready to party yourself into shape! This exhilarating, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ will move YOU!

Zumba Step - Looking to strengthen and tone your legs and glutes? Step right up! Combine the awesome toning and strengthening power of Step aerobics, with the fun fitness-party that only Zumba® brings to the dance-floor.
