Request IT Help

OIT hopes to make it easier than ever for you to create and monitor work orders through a Self Service tool. Please bookmark https://ithelp.uta.edu

 

  • Access IT HELP
    • Click the link above.
    • You will use your NetID and password to be able to login to the application. 
    • You may need to enter uta\ in front of your NetID when logging into the application.
  • Review an Open Ticket
    • When you log in, you should see a list of your open tickets. 
    • Double-click on one of the ticket listings to see more about it.
    • The Service Request tab has details we gathered about the issue. If you have additional details for the fields, you may add them in.
    • The Assignment tab will show different teams and technicians that are working to resolve your issue. You’ll be able to see the Team, Assignee, Priority, Status, and target date (if any). The green arrows at the top will let you browse through the Assignments if there is more than one entry.
    • The Journal tab will show any notes for the client. The green arrows at the top will let you browse through the Journal Notes if there is more than one entry.
  • Report a New Problem
    • Click the Create New Service Request link on the left side of the screen.
    • Choose Report a Problem from the I Need To drop-down box.
    • Type in your request in the Problem Description / Comments box.
    • Click Save.
  • Request a Service (to be used instead of all the web forms listed on the OIT site such as new account requests, work order requests, etc.)
    • Click the Create New Service Request link on the left side of the screen.
    • Choose Request a Service from the I Need To drop-down box.
    • Choose a request type from the Pick a Service drop-down box.
    • Type in your request in the Problem Description / Comments box.
    • Select the choices that best match your request from the resulting fields on the Service Request tab.
    • Complete all fields in the Service Request tab to ensure the request can be processed right away.
    • Click Save.
