Welcome to the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at The University of Texas at Arlington. As the institution’s chief academic officer, I am charged with realizing UT Arlington’s central mission of promoting and achieving academic excellence. In furtherance of this goal, I work directly with the president, other executive officers, deans, chairs, and faculty bodies to advance the University’s position as a leading regional and national center for research and education.
Additionally, the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and its support staff provide vital functions for the institution on a day-to-day basis. Central to these efforts is the challenge of coordinating a multitude of academic enterprises on the UT Arlington campus. These include programs that support our talented faculty members as well as numerous services that benefit our growing student population. The office is dedicated to optimally supporting the scholarly and pedagogical endeavors of the faculty while simultaneously ensuring that our students receive an outstanding education—one that prepares them to take on the complexities of today’s knowledge-based society.
