Welcome to the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at The University of Texas at Arlington. As the institution’s chief academic officer, I am charged with realizing UT Arlington’s central mission: to promote and achieve academic excellence. In furtherance of this goal, I work directly with the President, the other executive officers, deans, chairs and faculty bodies to advance the University’s position as a regional and national center for research and education. In addition, this office and its support staff provide vital functions for the institution on a day-to-day basis, from coordinating student services such as academic advising, tutoring, counseling, and career planning to overseeing programs that support the faculty, including professional enrichment activities, instructional support sessions, and peer-to-peer mentoring.

Central to these efforts is the challenge that comes with coordinating a multitude of academic enterprises on the UT Arlington campus in a way that optimally supports the scholarly and pedagogical endeavors of the faculty while simultaneously ensuring that our students receive an outstanding education – one that prepares them to take on the complexities of the modern world.
