Welcome to the Division of Academic Planning and Policy

The division of APP is the arm of the Provost Office that supports the academic enterprise in meeting the strategic and operational needs of the university in its academic mission. APP is committed to guiding and supporting departments, schools and colleges to develop and implement new undergraduate and graduate programs including microcredentials, develop and support domestic and global academic agreements, and meet the strategic academic needs of the institution. APP and its units (IER) serve as the liaison between academic programs and UT System, THECB and SACSCOC and support institutional accreditation and periodic program reviews. APP is committed to helping academic programs navigate, follow and affect internal and external policies and operating procedures.
