Detailed description of position
I'm looking for someone that loves the English Country Cottage style for both residential architecture and residential landscaping. I need someone who can produce architectural drawings for the interior and exterior of the home I'm renovating in Flower Mound, Texas that sits on a 1.18 acre lot. The ideal candidate will also be able to produce landscape drawings for the renovation. There are 2 primary parts of the exterior plan and 2 primary parts of the interior plan for the home.
Outline
- Build a 19.5' x 22' poolhouse on the north end of the pool in the backyard. There's an existing 210' of railroad tie retaining wall. The plan is to redo the current wall w/ Oklahoma Moss Rock (and give it an English Country Cottage look);
a). Use part of the retaining wall would be about 18" higher than grade to serve as a barrier/ seating/planter and transformed the north end of the property into a beautiful entryway for the backyard,
b). Use two of the walls where there's a 90 degree angle for the retaining wall into the lower level of the poolhouse,
c). The lower level of the poolhouse will be a storm cellar/lawn equip. storage, and
d). The main level of the poolhouse will be pool deck grade and have an outdoor fireplace and kitchen with an outdoor shower and an area for the exterior stairway on the east end of the poolhouse leading up to the second level that's for an office or nanny's quarters.
- Modify the front entryway roof with a 24" extension that incorporates an eyebrow arch and brackets on both sides.
- Make critical changes to the great room;
a). Build floor to ceiling bookshelves on the north wall of the great room,
b). Modify the fireplace on the west wall of the great room to capture an English Country Cottage style,
c). Make some changes to the main stairway at the main entryway to extend the landing and include a window seat.
