PROGRAM OVERVIEW

MPA Grand Prairie City Cohort students take sequential, eight-week classes at a time with two in Fall and Spring terms and one in Summer. The last class, 5399 Capstone, is an applied group project and is sixteen weeks. 

Classes are Fridays, 3:00-6:00 PM at city office locations shared with Mansfield which is coupling with Grand Prairie for this program. Online learning supplements the onsite classes (note: there are no required live online classes). For more general information about the UTA MPA, see our full program overview.

COSTS

Sponsoring local governments reimburse most tuition and fees. For example, a City of Grand Prairie employee can complete the degree for $11,387 after up to $4,000 a calendar year in reimbursement. That’s over a 50% savings. Employees may also apply for additional financial aid (e.g., veteran’s benefits) as qualified.
