Mission

CTEDD Student Council's (CSC) mission is to encourage students' engagement in the CTEDD's leadership and stimulate career development, networking, discussions, peer-guidance, and provide academic and professional skill-building among students to support their current educational progress and future career development in transportation- related topics. Different events include research round tables, academic conference practice sessions, firm visits, movie nights, book club and meetings with the successful alumni. CSC also aims to be engaged in community empowerment outside of UTA such as training sessions and field trips for K9-K12 students, participation , representation and advocacy for equity in policy meetings such as City Council and citizen advisory board meetings, as well as civic engagement and educational activities for public such as participation in community festivals, bike tours, movie nights and marathons.

 

Vision

CSC's vision is, by drawing upon the CTEDD network of different universities and entities, to attract members from non-UTA organizations and establish the national network of members with a leadership core at UTA. CSC's vision is to be a model student organization for an elite research higher education institution.
