Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

If you haven’t done so already, please remember to complete your required COVID‑19 test before Sept. 8. This requirement applies to all Mavericks, regardless of vaccination status, coming to any UTA campus in any capacity for the fall semester.

Reporting your test results

Results from on-campus testing sites will automatically be reported; you don’t need to take any action to report if you are tested on campus.

If you get tested off campus, you’ll need to upload results into the COVID‑19 Health Portal in MyMav. If you have trouble finding or using the portal, contact the OIT Help Desk.

If you get tested but your results don’t come in time for the Sept. 8 deadline, don’t worry. Your results will be accepted as long as the test occurred between Aug. 13 and Sept. 8. Read our FAQs for our COVID‑19 testing policy for additional information. If you still have questions about the testing requirement, contact covidtesting@uta.edu.

Vaccine information

The COVID‑19 Health Portal in MyMav can also be used to participate in the Maverick Motivator Program. Upload proof of vaccination by Oct. 4 to be eligible for large prizes, including free tuition, parking, meal plans and MacBook Pros.

If you haven’t been vaccinated yet and are able to, the next free, walk-in-only, on-campus COVID‑19 vaccination clinic is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the exercise rooms of the Maverick Activities Center. Students vaccinated at our on-campus clinics will receive a $50 gift card to the UTA Bookstore per vaccine received, for a total of $100 if you receive both doses. No action or pre-registration required.

If you can’t make it to the next on-campus clinic, the COVID‑19 vaccine is readily available to you through UTA and in the community. However you may receive the COVID‑19 vaccine, we hope you will do so if you’re able. If you have questions about vaccinations, contact covidvaccine@uta.edu.

Health and safety tips

We continue to be encouraged by the Maverick community’s willingness to do its part to protect each other. Please join us in maintaining this spirit of collective responsibility:

  • Wear a mask when indoors.
  • Wash and sanitize your hands regularly.
  • Perform daily health screenings.
  • Get vaccinated and encourage your friends and loved ones to do so as well.

Sincerely,

John Hall
Vice President for Administration and Campus Operations
Co-Chair, COVID‑19 Executive Task Force
