| Whereas | Since its origin in 1968, the Greek system continues to be a vitally important part of UTA; and |
| Whereas | The members of Sororities and Fraternities contribute to the surrounding community through philanthropy and community service functions; and |
| Whereas | Each semester the Greek system desires to attract the highest caliber of students to pledge their respective sorority/fraternity: and |
| Whereas | All greek organizations desire to have substantial awareness and publicity for the greek system as a whole; and |
| Whereas | The Houses of Kappa Sigma. Phi Gamma Delta, Kappa Alpha. Zeta Tau Alpha, Delta 7eta, Sigma Chi, Delta Tau Delta, Omega Psi Phi, and Sigma Nu list their addresses as Second Street; and |
| Whereas | Second Street is commonly referred to as "GREEK ROW" |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The section of Second Street extending from Davis Street to Nedderman Drive be officially renamed GREEK ROW and have an official street sign that designates this, and this would be a momentous achievement for the Greek system as a whole; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Although the Houses of Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Mu, Alpha Phi Alpha, Phi Delta Theta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and the Triangle are not located on Second Street - this would still be great building awareness of the strength of the Greek system and what it offers, and from a research standpoint, Mr, Steve Oliver, of the Department of Transportation of the City of Arlington, was |
