| Remarks | FAILED - Public Utilities Commission rules prohibit pay phones that have metro lines. |
| Whereas | UTA is considered a commuter school; and |
| Whereas | Many students commute from Dallas County; and |
| Whereas | Students should be able to call places in the metropolitan area at minimal cost; and |
| Whereas | Any student wishing to call Dallas County must pay long distance prices because there are no metro pay-telephones on campus; |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The administration shall have the metro pay-telephones reinstalled in the University Center and the Central Library |
