| Remarks | FAILED - Memo from VP for Academic Affairs W.A. Baker dated March 12, 1992, states: "I know of no way to implement effectively such a procedure." |
| Whereas | Departmental laboratories are not convenient for all students; and |
| Whereas | We all now live in a "Computer Age" and most of the work required by these labs can be done at home or at work; and |
| Whereas | Some classes that charge for these laboratories never require a computer project at all; and |
| Whereas | The money spent on these services can be better utilized by students on things they actually need |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Lab fees be removed from any course that does not even utilize a laboratory; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Among the classes that do require computer projects the students be given a choice to utilize the service and be charged or be allowed to do the work on their own and be exempt from this fee; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | If after the fact the student decides to utilize the services, he be charged the original fee for the service. |
