| Whereas | IPE (Individualized Plan for Evaluation) Nursing Srudents are practicing Registered Nurses in a special undergraduate program to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Nursing; and |
| Whereas | The Generic Program Nursing student is not a Registered Nurse neither have they this extensive Nursing experience; and |
| Whereas | It is the practice of this university to combine the Grade Point Averages of these two very different groups to calculate the standards by which honor status for graduation is determined; and |
| Whereas | The IPE Grade Point Averages artificially inflate the GPAs of the entire undergraduate program; and |
| Whereas | A comparison of the requirements for graduating with Honors among the six schools and colleges of The University of Texas at Arlington reveal a disparity in the selecting criteria; |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The scores of these two groups should not be combined when determining the criteria for graduating with Honors from the School of Nursing. |
