| Whereas | Many students live on either side of the Center Street, or use it extensively to go to the College Park garages; and |
| Whereas | The curve in Center street blocks the line of sight for students who use this street for many purposes; and |
| Whereas | Many times the right lane on Center Street is also blocked by DART bus or cones put by PATS (Parking and Transportation Services) for the purposes of events; and |
| Whereas | This causes more cars to travel in the middle of the left lane at a high speed, which creates dangerous circumstances for students who use the Center street for residential or parking purposes; |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas Arlington works with the City of Arlington officials to reduce the speed limit of Center street by the Dan Dipert Welcome Center to an appropriate amount. |
