| Whereas | At UTA there is a dedicated group of people running UTA Radio, however on campus, they are largely not utilized; and, |
| Whereas | UTA Radio is a service hosted by students that provides quality music and entertainment through their app and website; and, |
| Whereas | however, on campus, they have been given almost nowhere to play their station, the Fine Arts building being the only exception to this; and, |
| Whereas | this leaves the radio station far from reaching other students and many are unaware of their presence and the services they provide for free; and, |
| Whereas | this is a vast failure by the campus to utilize the dedicated work of the students and staff at UTA Radio and to properly take advantage of the benefit many students could enjoy through the enjoyment of music in common spaces; and, |
| Whereas | places like the MAC and other locations have even chosen to use subscription services for their musical needs, rather than the station provided at no cost by UTA students; and, |
| Be It Further Resolved That | the campus encourages other buildings to follow the Fine Arts building's example and allow the UTA Radio to be played in lobby areas and common rooms to provide free music to the student body throughout their day; and, |
| Be It Further Resolved That | as well as asking places like the MAC to consider switching to the services provided by UTA Radio over other streaming stations. |
