| Whereas | many students that are on tight budgets and cannot afford expensive meals rely on bringing their own food to UTA, such as frozen meals or pre-made food, to make up the difference in their budget constants; and |
| Whereas | several other students depend on a quick meal in the short gap of time they have between classes in order to be fully prepared by consuming sustaining meals needed to sustain top mental ability; and |
| Whereas | lines in the University Center food court can be long at times, and can be an obstacle for students with limited time to make it to class on time; and |
| Whereas | to save time and money, the small number of microwaves available currently at the University Center make it difficult for mindful students to meet the demands of their schedule, as there is only one functional microwave and one that has been out of order for some time; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | UTA should provide up to three new microwaves in the University Center to meet the needs of students needing an alternative solution for their dietary needs, offering a fast solution to obtain a hot meal without needing to rely solely on the University Center food court. |
