Remarks
Whereas the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) values the dedication and service of its faculty and staff, whose contributions foster institutional excellence and community pride;
Whereas a permanent recognition area will honor long-term employees and serve as a lasting tribute to their commitment;
Whereas the proposed Maverick Legacy Walk, featuring symbolic markers along the Clocktower walkway, will celebrate employees reaching 20 years of service;
Whereas honorees will receive a personal plaque and their marker will be updated upon retirement or departure;
Whereas recognition will follow a hybrid approach, with an annual announcement on UTA Day and a formal ceremony later in the semester to commemorate inductees;
Be It Further Resolved That UTA establishes the Maverick Legacy Walk to recognize employees with 20 or more years of service;
Be It Further Resolved That the program includes an annual UTA Day or similar program to announce recipients and a formal induction ceremony to honor new inductees.
