Licensure Disclosure

The College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs curricula fulfills the academic requirements necessary to attain licensure in the architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and planning disciplines. Upon successful completion of the appropriate degree program, graduates meeting the required work experience are eligible to sit for the professional licensure examination within their respective disciplines. Graduates are also recommended to verify state requirements. 

The following degree programs fulfill the academic requirements for licensure:          

  • Bachelor of Science in Interior Design
  • Master of Architecture, Paths A and B
  • Master of Landscape Architecture
  • Master in City and Regional Planning

The following degree programs do not fulfill the academic requirements for licensure:

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (a preprofessional degree)
  • Master of Architecture, Path C (a post-professional degree)
