PLATE TECTONICS (3-0)
Description: Understanding our dynamic Earth through the study of sea floor spreading, subduction and continental collision. This course will examine the geophysical evidence for plate tectonics: magnetism, gravity, and heat flow; and will review the history of plate motions and their effect on climate, evolution, and the formation of natural resources. Prerequisite: GEOL 3443.
