We have developed a dynamic, full color
true-holographic visualization system. The major components of this
system are Texas Instruments Digital Light Processing (DLP) Micromirror
chips, the principle light modulation unit in computer projectors,
lasers and optics to illuminate and project from the DLPs and software
for computation of interferograms from 3-D volumetric coordinates. The
basic principles on which the system works, the status of the now third
generation system and our efforts to move the system into
commercialization will be presented.
