“To Conduct or
not to Conduct – that is the Question”
presented by Meg Young,
Lamar High School, Arlington
Participants will make three different conductivity testers and conduct
simple experiments that use them. The
experiments will demonstrate the conductivity of
materials, the conductivity of ionic vs.
covalent compounds, and how conductivity changes
as the ion concentration changes.
Limited to 25 participants – 1.5 hours – Cost
$5.00

“CASTLE –
Electricity for those busy hands. Part 1”
presented by Beverly Trina Cannon,
Highland Park HS, Dallas
This workshop will explore the CASTLE materials for basic concepts in
electricity. Misconceptions will be addressed
and basic circuitry will be studied from a
nontraditional approach.
Limited to 30 participants – 2 hours - Cost
of $15.00
