Dipanjan roy received his B.sc in Physics and Mathematics from university of Pune, India, in 1999 and his M.sc in Physics from University of Pune in 2003. He is currently a Graduate student of Physics at the University of Texas, Arlington, where he is working on nonlinear dynamics and chaos with Dr.z.musielak. Until recently he was a project assistant at IUCAA(PUNE) where he worked on nonlinear time series analysis of chaotic data obtained from high dimensional systems and also worked on their implication in astrophysics related to the study of microquaser GRS1915+105. Before coming to UTA in 2004, he worked with Dr.A.D.gangal(uop)Dr.Ranjeev misra (IUCAA), Dr.K.P.harikrishnan(IUCAA).In addition he did his master's thesis from IIT BOMBAY under Dr.S.V.lawande on cavity quantum optics.Presently his work focus on understanding the routes to chaos in high dimensional systems by studying high dimensional Lorenz system. He is also working on formulation of Lagrangian for nonconservative and also for nonlinear dynamical systems. Research InterestRoutes to high dimensional chaos and turbulence. nonlinear dissipative system and linear dissipative system Fluid dynamics and simulation.
