The Dr. Andy Baum Memorial Bioassay Clinical Research Laboratory, located in the Life Sciences Building, Room 539, is
maintained as a P2 containment facility and contains stateof-
the-art equipment for cell culture and molecular biology
experiments, including:
- SpectraMax Plus384 Absorbance Microplate Reader
- Laminar flow hood
- Water bath
- Sorvall Legend RT Plus refrigerated centrifuge
- Microcentrifuge
- Titer plate shaker for High Sensitivity ELISA Assays
- Chromotography refrigerator
- 2 CO2 incubators
- Fluorescence microscope with camera attachment
- -20 C and -80 C ultralow freezers
- Liquid nitrogen storage
- agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis apparatus
- Access to flow cytometer
Genomics Core Facility
In addition, direct contracting can be arranged through our Laboratory with the UT Arlington Genomics Core Facility. The Core Facility offer the following resources and services:
- DNA sequencing(Sanger sequencing and Next Gen sequencing)
- Genotyping
- Real time PCR
- Bio-Rad Gel Doc with camera
- Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer for DNA, RNA, Protein concentration determination
- GenePix Professional 4200A four-color scanner with 16-position emission filter wheel for microarrays, tissue and cell arrays, and general
fluorescence studies
- Multi-color flow cytometry
- Zeiss Confocal Microscope with Camera
