Graduate Program Information
The Department of Psychology at the University of Texas - Arlington provides exceptional opportunities to qualified students who are seeking careers in psychology. Our emphasis in the M.S. and Ph.D. Experimental Psychology program is mentor-based experimental research. Students interested in Industrial / Organizational Psychology are encouraged to apply to our non-thesis Master’s program leading to a specialization in Industrial / Organizational Psychology. The Department of Psychology has just started a new program in Health Psychology. Students with applied interests, who intend to pursue the Ph.D., are welcome to apply to our Doctoral experimental program.
Our faculty and their graduate students regularly publish in well-known journals (i.e., Perception and Psychophysics, Journal of Neuroscience, Brain Research, Animal Behavior, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Cognition, and others). A large number of our graduate students have had their research published while still in our graduate program. The National Research Council ranked the Department of Psychology at UT Arlington as the best in North Texas.
