Where can you put on pajamas and slippers, bowl a few frames in the dark, ride a zip line, and devour a Belgian waffle with unlimited toppings? The 2012 Maverick Stampede Welcome Week offered all these activities and more. The centerpiece of Maverick Stampede was the MavsMeet Convocation, which officially kicked off the fall semester. Held in College Park Center for the first time, the academic gathering drew thousands of students who spilled onto The Green at College Park lawn for the MavsMeet AfterParty. Other events that welcomed new and returning students to campus included Success U, Residence Hall Move-In Day, Wet ‘n’ Wild, Pajama Jam, MavSwap, Waffleopolis, Big Howdy Party, and Maverick Cookout.
