In the College of Science, our students are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible — for themselves and for the world. Maverick Scientists innovate, they discover and they learn. In the College of Science they acquire the knowledge and training they need to become leaders in whatever fields they enter. We have almost 4,000 students in six departments – Biology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology, in addition to health professions and a multi-disciplinary program in Data Science.
Our students learn from world-class faculty and utilize state-of-the-art facilities while acquiring the knowledge and in-demand skills they need when they enter the workforce. Maverick Scientists gain valuable experience in collaborative research and graduate well-equipped to take on the many important problems facing our world today.

MAVERICK EXPERIENCE
Maverick Experience is the most comprehensive opportunity to learn about UTA academics, resources, and student life, all in one place. The event is for prospective freshman and transfer students. Maverick Experience will begin at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 3 p.m. Lunch is provided by UTA for you and your guests. It will include sessions on admissions, financial aid and scholarships, academic colleges and schools, and more. You will also have the opportunity to tour the campus with UTA student Mav Elite Tour Guides. Already admitted? UTA SCIENCE VIRTUAL TOUR
