The department will also occupy half of the new Chemistry and Physics Building (pictured left) scheduled to open in December, 2005.  This building represents a $44 million investment in the research and teaching programs in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department and will house the analytical, biochemical, and physical chemistry research groups and the undergraduate teaching labs.

The Department currently enjoys in excess of 1.6 million dollars per year in external grant support.

An extensive seminar program allows a variety of scientists from this country and abroad, to visit our campus and interact with our faculty, postdoctoral fellows and students.
