The Center for Educational Research, Policy, and Practice is hosting its second panel discussion, "The Journey to Thriving in the Pandemic: Stories of Student Affairs Professionals" from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. (CST) on Nov. 17 via Zoom.

Speaker Patrick JacksonThe talk will feature:

- Patrick Jackson, MPA, who is a higher education professional with over eight years of experience in student access and success and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Transition Programs and Services at the University of Texas at Arlington.

- Kathleen (Katy) Launius, ME.D., who has more than a decade of experience in student affairs and currently serves as the inaugural Associate Dean of Support Programs at Dallas College.

- J.C. Stoner, Ph.D., who serves as the Associate Director for Housing Operations at the University of Texas at Dallas and oversees 40+ essential full-time staff, including coordinators, housekeepers, and marketing staff.

 
Attendees will learn more about the experiences of student affairs professionals in both 2- and 4- year institutions during the pandemic. The discussion will focus on how individuals in the field excelled at adapting, even thriving, under stressful conditions, and how they support and empower college students during COVID-19 and beyond.
