Damone Wisdom

Damone obtained his BSW and MSW from Stephen F. Austin State University. Throughout his master’s degree, his internship involved counseling clients with One Love Longview, improving his understanding of positive mental health outcomes. He is also passionate about social work within foster care because he is a former foster youth. For these reasons, his research interests include the trauma that foster youth experience and how those experiences correlate with identifying protective factors and interventions that foster resilience and support former foster youth in achieving success across multiple life domains.
