Her work seeks to advance culturally responsive and evidence-informed social work practice, policy, and research that promote gender equity, human rights, and social well-being.
Blessing has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications in areas including intimate partner violence, maternal and child health, social support systems, and community development. Through her research, teaching, and professional service, she is committed to generating knowledge that informs effective interventions, strengthens communities, and promotes the well-being of individuals and families across diverse cultural settings. Outside of academia, Blessing enjoys spending time with her children, Light and Grace, exploring new cuisines, singing and participating in community and volunteer service initiatives. She values opportunities to connect with others through service, creativity, and cultural exchange, bringing the same passion for people and community to her personal life as she does to her scholarship and professional work.
