Dr. Bai Linh Hoang coauthored an article with Dr. Daniel Sledge on the use of ethnicity and opioids. The article "Racial/ethnic representation in opioid use disorder-related clinical trials" was published in the Journal of Substance Use and Addiction Treatment and can be found here.

Dr. Mark Hand recently co-authored an article in the Policy Studies Journal about "The Role of Policy Narrators During Crisis: A Micro-Level Analysis of the Sourcing, Synthesizing, and Sharing of Policy Narratives in Rural Texas." Read it here!

Dr. Gabriela Okundaye just published a new article, "Premigratory Experiences with Civil War Violence and Social Trust," in Social Science Quarterly. Check it out here!

Dr. Christopher Chambers-Ju received a research award 🏆 from the COLA Faculty Research Endowment in Fall 2023 for his project, “Gender and Labor: Women Leaders of Teachers’ Unions in Latin America.”

Dr. Canelo received an APSA award 🏆 that allows her and coauthor, Dr. Melissa Baker from UT El Paso, to continue their work evaluating public opinion consequences of judicial misconduct, specifically whether the public perceives judges accused of discriminatory misconduct as a threat to rights.
