Remarks This is a remark
Whereas Professors at the Nursing school are locking doors at the beginning of classes to prevent students from entering class after it has already started and in between breaks; and
Whereas Most all nursing classes are 3 hours long with (roughly) 2 break periods that are about 10 minutes in length. Time does not always allow one to return to class in sufficient time during break; and
Whereas Students pay to attend these classes and are all adults, so we should not be treated like children; and
Whereas The information provided during class is vital in our profession and success in nursing school, and there are sometimes circumstances where a student might be late and should not be punished for it.
Be It Further Resolved That The option for professors to lock the doors during class, be no longer backed by the student hand book, and should be abolished.
