| Whereas | Dr. Robert Witt has served as the President of the University of Texas at Arlington for over six years; and |
| Whereas | During his presidency he worked with Student Congress to accomplish many improvements at UTA including online course syllabi; opening the library 24 hours a day during the week; protecting student identity by removing the use of social security numbers; approving the naming of UTA Blvd and Greek Row Drive; establishment of a year-in-review student magazine; increasing campus safety; updating campus maps to indicate handicap accessible entrances, among many other things; and |
| Whereas | Dr. Witt has proven himself to be a student-centered president and the driving force behind the amazing growth at UTA. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | We officially express our gratitude for his leadership and service to the University and the surrounding community; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Because of the great impact he has had, Dr. Witt will be greatly missed by Student Congress. |
