Whereas Dr. Robert Witt has served as the President of the University of Texas at Arlington for over six years; and
Whereas During his presidency he worked with Student Congress to accomplish many improvements at UTA including online course syllabi; opening the library 24 hours a day during the week; protecting student identity by removing the use of social security numbers; approving the naming of UTA Blvd and Greek Row Drive; establishment of a year-in-review student magazine; increasing campus safety; updating campus maps to indicate handicap accessible entrances, among many other things; and
Whereas Dr. Witt has proven himself to be a student-centered president and the driving force behind the amazing growth at UTA.
Be It Further Resolved That We officially express our gratitude for his leadership and service to the University and the surrounding community; and
Be It Further Resolved That Because of the great impact he has had, Dr. Witt will be greatly missed by Student Congress.
