Remarks IMPLEMENTED - President Witt asked for Physical Plant to develop this in a memo dated May 20, 2002.
Whereas There are many groups, departments, and over 250 student organizations that post thousands of flyers and announcements every semester on campus; and
Whereas The Physical Plant and the Ambassadors log countless man-hours putting up and taking down temporary brackets and Homecoming banners each year; and
Whereas The current brackets used during homecoming are difficult to properly hang the banners that represent student organizations and departments; and
Whereas Many students argue that other campus events (i.e. Athletics Games, Greek Recruitment, Constituency Council Programs, EX.C.E.L. Programs, etc.) would have greater participation if they were better publicized around the campus.
Be It Further Resolved That That a more permanent bracket system be implemented around campus, that would be available all year for publicizing campus events and programs; and
Be It Further Resolved That That this system, if implemented have some way of displaying not only vinyl banners, but also signs and banners designed by students organizations and departments.
