Remarks PENDING - President Witt asked Michael Moore to create a committee to do this on February 17, 2003. Interim President Sorber said in a memo on June 10, 2003, that "it is necessary to address more pressing budget priorities at this time" - but that it shou
Whereas It would be great to give the campus community constant reminders of significant historical facts about UTA; and
Whereas UTA's image would be enhanced and students more knowledgeable; and
Whereas Campus Tours could follow the route.
Be It Further Resolved That Landmarks be posted at key sites around campus, with fun and factual information about that building. For example, in front of Texas Hall a sign will read, 'Home of the Movin'Mavs, 6 time National Champions' or College Hall would read 'Oldest Building on Campus, built in 1914'; or perhaps in front of the Activities Building, 'Olympian Doug Russell began his 2 gold medal career here', etc.; and
Be It Further Resolved That That the University begin this project immediately.
