| Whereas | The vast majority of states already have a student regent, and |
| Whereas | The benefits of having a student regent are numerous; |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington Student Body calls for a voting student member on the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington Student Congress take steps to inform their legislators of their support of this issue, and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | A copy of this resolution and the resulting vote and research be prepared for all members of the Texas Legislature. |
