| Whereas | The University of Texas at Arlington bookstore supplies all required text books for UTA students and embraces the University name as our campus bookstore; and |
| Whereas | Many of the bookstore vouchers given to student as door or raffle prizes are only redeemable at the UTA bookstore; and |
| Whereas | Because of the diversity of on-campus students, many are unable to shop elsewhere for textbooks because of lack of transportation; and |
| Whereas | Students are going without textbooks for weeks because of the insufficient number of textbooks ordered by the University bookstore. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The University of Texas at Arlington Bookstore be required to keep and maintain an up-to-date list of student enrollment in University classes and to order a sufficient number of required textbooks to supply that latest number of student enrollment for each University class prior to the first day of each semester; and |
| Be It Further Resolved That | To assure the students of this University that the course of action taken by the University bookstore by the insufficient number of required textbooks ordered in previous semesters will not happen in future semesters to come starting Spring 2002. |
