| Whereas | Standard right-handed desks do not ergonomically accommodate left-handed students; and |
| Whereas | Left-handed people write either by "pushing" the writing instrument and "plowing" into the paper, or by "hooking" the wrist to emulate a right-handed person; and |
| Whereas | Using either method on a right-handed desk causes cramped arms and aching backs; and |
| Whereas | There are very few left-handed desks available on campus. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | Desks which can ergonomically accommodate left-handed students be made available in each classroom on campus. |
