| Whereas | Some students find it necessary to use smokeless tobacco during classes which requires spitting into a cup, or bottle; and |
| Whereas | This often emits an unpleasant odor and can be accidentally tipped over staining the carpet, desks, and ruining papers and books; and |
| Whereas | This is not only unattractive but very distracting to other students in the classroom; and |
| Whereas | Food, and drink are not allowed in most classrooms, and smoking is not allowed within 25 feet of all UTA building entrances. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The use of Smokeless tobacco not be allowed inside UTA buildings, excluding residential areas. |
