Result Killed By Committee
Remarks FAILED - Committee found that there was not enough need for a full-time pre-law advisor.
Whereas Many schools such as SMU have a pre-law advisor and preparation program called "Project Prep" to aid students in preparation for law school; and
Whereas UTA has a pre-med advisor to aid pre-med students in preparation for medical school; and
Whereas UTA pre-law students do not have a full-time pre law advisor to assist in coordinating an appropriate class schedule to prepare for law school, assist with the law school application process, LSAT review, preparations for various deadlines and fees for law schools, LSDAS registration and other necessary parts of the law school application process; and
Whereas The application process for law school is rigorous and much preparation and assistance is needed from an advisor whose sole job is to provide assistance to pre-law students.
Be It Further Resolved That A position be created solely for the purpose of advising and assisting pre-law students throughout their undergraduate years.
