| Whereas | There is a growing concern over the cost of college textbooks; and |
| Whereas | Due to the current and rising price of textbooks, students are beginning to be priced out of the market of education; and |
| Whereas | Financial burdens are a primary cause of student drop-out; and |
| Whereas | Similar educational costs like tuition and fees are tax-free; and |
| Whereas | If taxes were lifted on higher educational textbooks, the financial burden would be reduced. |
| Be It Further Resolved That | The Student Congress at The University of Texas at Arlington voice concern over this issue to the Texas State Legislature. |
