Remarks FAILED - No resident of Shady Park has voiced a complaint to anyone in the Parking Office about this.
Whereas The students who live in the Shady Park Apartments have to pay $48 a semester for parking like every other student; and
Whereas The students must park in the complex's lot, and still have to share it with faculty; and
Whereas Many times there are no parking spaces left for the students to use because these spots are taken by faculty; and
Whereas The staff at the police station tells people to park in the parking spaces in front of the UC, though these are often filled as well; and
Whereas All of this is happening despite the fact that there is a gate in which the designated students (who live in Shady Park apartments) have to use their Mav Express ID for entry.
Be It Further Resolved That Either the faculty parking be moved elsewhere or the gate in front of the Shady Park apartments be removed; and
Be It Further Resolved That The UTA Police need to stop ticketing residence of Shady Park for parking in non-designated areas when there are no places at the complex to park in.
